2012 World Team Table Tennis Championships - Wang Yuegu Contributed 2 Critical Points

Wang Yuegu Guides Singapore into the Finals
A hard fought victory against Germany the day before, it is another 3-2 win against South Korea.

Feng Tianwei came on against South Korean number one player and one of the best defender Kim Kyung Ah. It was Kim who gave South Korea a fine start taking the first set 10-12. Feng played patiently in the next two sets winning 15-13, 11-9. However, the vastly experienced Kim was in determined mood. She took the next two sets winning 1-11, 7-11.

In the second match, Wang Yuegu is up against Seok Ha Jung. Throughout the game, there was great rallies and smashes. Wang held her nerve at the critical points and she delivered. Wang won 11-7, 9-11, 9-11, 12-10, 11-6.

Li Jiawei who revealed that she did not have enough sleep before the match faltered quickly against Dang Ye Seo. Li lost 11-13, 5-11, 6-11 to give South Korea a 1-2 advantage.

Despite being 1-2 down, Feng Tianwei was confident against Seok Ha Jung in the fourth match. Having not lost to Seok Ha Jung, Feng continued her winning ways 11-5, 11-3, 9-11, 11-8.

Once again, similar to the match against Germany, Wang Yuegu rose to the occassion in the last match to win Kim Kyung Ah 11-7, 7-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-9.

Singapore will play in the Finals tomorrow against title favorites China.
