Making his debut on the ITTF Junior Circuit, Xin Zhaoxu captured the Junior Boys' Singles Crown defeating top seed, Hong Kong's Chu Chung Hei. Xin needed only five games 11-6, 11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 11-4 to secure victory.
Earlier in the day, Xin's compatriot Zhou Yihan won the Junior Girls' Singles title and had partnered colleague Lin Ye to clinch the Girls' Doubles Gold. In the Junior Singles finals, Zhou defeated Hong Kong's Li Ching Wan, the no.7 seed, 11-7, 11-8, 11-9, 11-4.
Junior Girls' Doubles Top Seeds Zhou Yihan and Lin Ye also beat Hong Kong's Li Ching Wan and Doo Hoi Kem in a full distance five games contest; they won 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-13, 11-8.
