Gao Ning, who has appeared in the finals of the Men's Doubles event of no less than 16 ITTF Pro Tours clinched the crowned with Li Hu at the GAC Group ITTF World Tour Kuwait Open on the final day. Against South Koreans Kim Diong Hyun and Lee Jung Woo, Gao and Li made the better start and never looked back. They won the first 3 games 13-11, 12-10, 14-12.
In the fourth and last game, the Singaporean duo grew in confidence. They established a 3 point lead, forcing the South Koreans to call "Time-Out". The South Koreans then trailed 4-8. The Singaporean camp opted for a "Time-Out" which proved vital. They moved ahead 10-5 before securing the game 11-7.
